This mighty event took place on Tuesday 19/5/2026 at the district headquarters. The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer handed over the instruments of power to the incoming District Chairperson.
Hon.OKELLO PATRICK ORYEMA in his speech thanked everybody for entrusting him with the office once again and also paid tribute to his predecessor HON. ORACH EMMANUEL and thanks all the District Councilors who made it to the current council.
1. Promised to work as a team with the all the Councilors and the technical staff. he further noted that serving the people is entirely a sacrifice and needs collective responsibility from all the parties involved.
2. Promised to work tirelessly to ensure service delivery is improved while making empathies on misuse of public assets and resources. he also noted that he would promote inclusiveness, accountability and transparency during his tenure in office.
